Luxury Train travel in Brazil

However, if you do not wish to take the entire tour of Brazil, you could opt for a short weekend trip aboard the Great Brazil Express, from Curitiba to Morretes. This would be an upgrade of the Curitiba-Paranagua train journey, which is one of the most scenic and exciting train routes in Brazil. This route winds across the Serra do Mar Mountains along the Brazilian coastal range in the southern region of Parana. This is a 62 mile journey which gets its appeal from the natural beauty of its landscapes, as well as other cultural attractions. The engineering feats that the construction of this railway achieved are also something of an attraction for tourists. These feats include the fourteen tunnels that the train passes through, as well as the thirty bridges that it gets to cross. The highlight of the construction is undoubtedly the Sao Joao Bridge which hugs the mountains at an impressive 180 feet.
