Luxury Train travel in Brazil
For your next tour of South America, why not take a luxury train journey on the Great Brazil
Express. This is Brazil’s first luxury train which enables passengers to take in the hills between Curitiba and
Cascavel, while enjoying the comfort and conveniences provided by their two stylishly decorated cars. This 300 mile
train journey is just a part of the comprehensive tour of Brazil which features an all inclusive plane, bus and
train tour from Rio de Janeiro all the way to Iguassu Falls. This tour covers twelve cities in total, not to
mention attractions such as the breathtaking Vila Velha State Park.
There are two cars provided on board the train, with each accommodating up to 22 passengers. The décor features
feather-filled seats, goose down and silk curtains. Some cars have hand painted ceilings, as well as reproductions
of famous artworks on 19th century life in Brazil. There is a well stocked bar which has champagne, wine and
whisky. There is also a screen which streams images of landscapes which have gone by as the train moves. There are
dining and lodging facilities available at the cities in which you stop along the journey.
Multilingual staff onboard Great Brazil Express
There are currently plans underway to increase the Great Brazil Express trips to two a
month. The staff aboard the Great Brazil Express is multilingual, which is great seeing as a good majority of the
passengers tend to be international travelers. This train has been the ideal venue for many passengers who are on
their honeymoon, or those indulging in romantic travel in Brazil. This is because the luxury train journey, quality
service, coupled with the great scenery and cities makes this trip one never to forget. For your train wedding, you
can make arrangements to have a customized trip on the Great Brazil Express with special rates for your entire
wedding party as well.
However, if you do not wish to take the entire tour of Brazil, you could opt for a short weekend trip aboard the
Great Brazil Express, from Curitiba to Morretes. This would be an upgrade of the Curitiba-Paranagua train journey,
which is one of the most scenic and exciting train routes in Brazil. This route winds across the Serra do Mar
Mountains along the Brazilian coastal range in the southern region of Parana. This is a 62 mile journey which gets
its appeal from the natural beauty of its landscapes, as well as other cultural attractions. The engineering feats
that the construction of this railway achieved are also something of an attraction for tourists. These feats
include the fourteen tunnels that the train passes through, as well as the thirty bridges that it gets to cross.
The highlight of the construction is undoubtedly the Sao Joao Bridge which hugs the mountains at an impressive 180
feet.

This trip is ideal for a romantic getaway on Dias dos Namorados, Brazil’s version of Valentine’s Day. Moreover, it
is a fun way to get to the Parana coast from the Brazilian capital; especially if you want to stop over at Ilha do
Mel, or Honey Island which you can reach by boat from Paranagua. The other great stopovers on this route include
Morretes and Marumby State Park.
