Train travel fast comfort and cheap
When compared to traveling by plane or by car, train travel provides you with a much more pleasant
experience. Traveling by train gives you the opportunity to see the country in a way that the other two main
modes of transportation – air and road, do not. Some train routes will even afford you a look at the off-beaten
path scenery which most tourists traveling by air would not get to see. Even though train rides tend to last
longer than traveling by car or by plane, you will find that you are able to find time to relax and also plan
out your next adventure for when the plane finally stops. Taking a train ride is therefore a great way to feel
the pulse of a particular country. Article continue below.

Once you calculate in the baggage costs and charges, you will find that traveling by
train is far much cheaper than traveling by air. As such, if you have a lot of time and not as much money, you
could opt for a relaxing train ride to get you to where you need to go. You will also experience much less
restriction when traveling with luggage via rail, than you would via airplane. This is because airlines require
that you pay for checked luggage. In America, Amtrak rail passengers get to
enjoy the benefits of checking in three pieces of luggage weighing up to fifty pounds each at no extra cost.
Other conveniences that you may enjoy on a train include larger lavatories, which are bigger than those you
will find on a plane. You will also have more legroom on a train than you would on a plane or in a car.
Moreover, the ceilings on a train are quite high to ensure that you do not hit your head when you stand
up.
Go Green
Travel by Train
If you are environmentally conscious, you will also be pleased to know that traveling
by train is the most eco-friendly mode of mass transportation available in the world today. This is because the
carbon emissions from trains are far less damaging to the environment than the levels and amounts emitted by
airplanes and cars. For this reason, you can sit back and enjoy your journey knowing full well that you are part of
the global warming/ climate change solution – and not the problem. Another reason to take the train is that some
trains travel up to 150 miles per hour, which means that you will arrive at your destination much faster than you
would driving.
One of the most pleasant experiences you can have while traveling by train is getting
to meet the local people of that particular country. If you are in Europe, you will get to meet Europeans with whom
you can have a chat and find out more about your destination. You are likely to find out a lot of useful
information that may not be in your travel guide, hear some interesting anecdotes or you may even make a new
lifelong friend out of your co-passenger. Undoubtedly, it is such little incidences and interactions in life that
tend to leave us with the best memories.
